Can Adjustments be made to necklaces or earrings?

I usually do not allow for adjustments after jewelry pieces have been made. However, I will consider changes such as adding length or shortening necklaces; additional charges will apply and will be arranged for before purchase is completed and added to the advertised item. I will also consider earring back connector changes for pierced ears: leverback, stud, french wire (fish hook) are allowed.

I will NOT consider making alterations to a design, or adding/removing elements for any purpose other than sizing. This introduces enough changes to consider calling the product a custom made piece.

Do you consider requests for custom made design jewelry?

On rare occasions I consent to doing custom designed pieces. I must “know” the person, i.e., they will have been prior customers, and whom are familiar with my designs. This is important for the design because there are many steps to the process: meeting with the client for the design concept, acquiring the elements of the designed pieces (metals, gemstones, an heirloom pendant, etc. to be used) , first build and adjustment session, etc.

This is usually an expensive choice to make for the majority of customers. Bespoke, or custom jewelry, by its nature is expensive. Sometimes, the most expensive part of the process is the time spent by the designer to pay attention to this one design for this one client…. individual time is expensive and many people are not aware of just how many hours can accrue on a custom project. As a result, it is usually not worth their money to ask for a custom piece to be made with “generic” or standard elements. Consider comparing jewelry-making to custom website building; you are paying primarily for the “artisans” time and knowledge The knowledge part is the most expensive part - it requires years of learning techniques, applying those techniques, and then witnessing the end result and how well it works.

Payment for the custom work will be estimated after the initial consultation, and a full, non-refundable deposit will be required up front, prior to beginning the process.

Do you use payment methods other than Paypal?

Currently, no. Using one gateway assures me that my client’s, and my, information remains safe, secure, and private. I am not a fan of purchasing online with my credit cards or bank account number; this seems to make it so much easier for potential problems to happen, so, I would not recommend it for my customers.

Registering for a PayPal account with your bank account and/or credit card(s) is easy and you are assured your information is kept private. You chose which PayPal also offers several other key features (insured accounts, customer support by phone) and I suggest you visit their site for complete details.
